December's Decree

Greetings Companions

The winter season is upon us! Ah how we as mere mortals are always left longing for what was or what will be. But nothing garners warmth like that of friendship and good conversation. Even bad conversations amongst friends is still warming! Let us rejoice in these things then as we forage through the holiday madness: being berated by the economics of industry because we are not spending enough; being cajoled by those who demand we remember their reason for the season; being lovingly pestered with those hints from loved ones about how they have been especially good this year. As Companions we should take it all in stride and share the moments with good cheer and warm feelings. Which can also be expressed at our annual Christmas brunch at the Silver Spring Country Club on December 19th. As is ritualistic throughout the world this is a great time for our Royal Arch family to get together and share the wonders of life with each other. Even in a Wisconsin winter every new day is a gift. We gather together again on the 1st of December at 7:30. Remember dinner is at 5:30 at Mykanos Family Restaurant at 8501 W. Capitol Dr.

November's Decree

Greetings Companions

As the last embers of the harvest bonfires wink out let us remember this time and all of those brothers and companions that forged the path for us. It is through those who came before us that we have the will and knowledge to continue forward. We will hold our reconsecration ceremony at our next meeting. It is important for all of our companions to gather for this evening. We gather together again on the 3rd of November at 7:30. Remember dinner is at 5:30 at Mykanos Family Restaurant at 8501 W. Capitol Dr. Unfortunately I will not be able to accompany you as work has me otherwise occupied.

To noble and glorious work!

October's Decree

Greetings Companions

It is often asked of me: “So, what IS chapter.” But even moreso I am asked: “But what do you guys do?” We are always talking about the events and friend’s nights we have in our home lodges but for the greater part what can we extol about our Chapter? This is my challenge for the ensuing year: to demonstrate the virtues of not only Royal Arch masons but of Kilbourn Chapter as well. With that I am in need of your assistance, my challenge for you is to bring ideas and concerns to our next meeting so that we may all extol the virtues of York Rite masonry. Come prepared! We gather together again on the 6th of October at 7:30. Remember dinner is at 5:30 at Mykanos Family Restaurant at 8501 W. Capitol Dr. I look forward to seeing you then.

A note for the high council and trustees: remember we are meeting prior to our stated to discuss finances.

To noble and glorious work!

June's Decree

Greetings Companions

I am humbled by your confidence in my abilities to move our chapter through the next year. We have a strong line of officers who are truly the foundation of our chapter. And as any good building needs an occasional addition to help shore it up we also have two new members to our chapter: brothers James Watson of Henry L. Palmer #301 and Chris Howard of Wauwatosa #267 have recently completed instruction in their Royal Arch degree and are now our companions; please join with me in welcoming them to the further teachings of freemasonry. Companions keep in mind that this month we have our Grand Session in Green Bay which will be the last Chapter event before we go dark for the summer. Our stated communication is June 2nd in which we will host our installation ceremony for the incoming officers. This will be an informal affair and everyone is welcome. Remember dinner is at 5:30 at Mykanos Family Restaurant at 8501 W. Capitol Dr. I look forward to seeing you then. And for those who I do not have a safe and rewarding summer.

To noble and glorious work!
