April's Decree

Greetings Companions

Spring is here at last I just hope someone wakes up Wisconsin and tells it! April finds us getting ready for change and growth and a wee bit of that spring cleaning is inevitable. The Grand York Rite annual session is approaching quickly and we will be honoring the Grand Chapter with our own Bill Kraatz as the Most Excellent Grand High Priest. McKinley Chapter has approached Kilbourn with an idea of a merger and we will have to take this consolidation to a vote of our chapter. Be on the lookout for the details of this merger as we will need to vote on whether we will accept this consolidation or not come our May stated meeting, (which will also be the date of our election of officers). So if you have not made it to Chapter lately this would be a nigh time to get reacquainted: discuss the merger, congratulate Companion Bill, provide suggestions and insight on how we run our Chapter for the ensuing year and welcome your companions. While on the topic of getting reacquainted: on April 2nd we attended the 2011 Interstate Capitular Festival at the Racine Masonic Center and exalted several new companions: John and Lee Wackman and Art Karos all from Henry L. Palmer lodge #301. So come welcome our new companions and embrace them with the wonderful work that we do. Remember we gather together again on April 6th at 7:30, I have to work so will not be able to be in attendance. Dinner however is $8.00 and at 5:30 at Mykanos Family Restaurant at 8501 W. Capitol Dr.

To noble and glorious work!
